The Union was established under the World Bank Project and has a processing capacity of 1.5 Lakh Litres Per Day.

The Union has three Chilling Centres located at Chamarajanagar, Hunsur and Kollegala with total chilling capacity of 1.1 Lakh Litres Per Day.
  

 
Apart from selling Toned Milk, the Union also produces and sells Curds, Lassi, Butter Milk (Masala), Flavored Milk, Peda, Ghee, Mysore Pak and Butter. 

The Union produces an average 2.42 Lakh litres of milk per day and sells 1.39 Litres per day.  There are 31 Bulk Milk Coolers, 142 Automatic Milk Collection Units & 15 Community Centres in the Unions.
