From 50,000 Litres a day 5 decades back under UNICEF, today it is a 8 Lakh Litres/ Day, State-of- the- art plant expandable to 10 Lakh Litres/ Day. It covers 12 talukas with more than 2084 Societies functioning..
Hoskote on the outskirts of the city with 1.5 LLPD chilling plant, capacity has been converted into a new dairy of 2 LLPD which is now under operation.
It has chilling centres at Anekal-100 TLPD, Byrapatna-60 TLPD, Doddaballapura -160 TLPD, Vijayapura-100 TLPD, Solur-160 TLPD, Kanakapura-120 TLPD with total capacity of 700 LPD. There are 198 Bulk Milk Coolers and 657 Automatic Milk Collection and Community milking parlour-23 units in the union.
The union procures on an Average of 13.86 lakh kgs/day of milk and sells on an average 8.85 lakh litres/day milk and 1.23 lakh kgs per day curd. The Union also produces Butter, Ghee, SMP, Cream, Ladoo & Mysorepak, Peda.
