In 2001, the Food and Agriculture Organizations(FAO) of the United Nations selected June 1st as World Milk Day, which celebrates the important contributions of the dairy sector to sustainability, economic development, livelihoods and nutrition. The day is intended to provide an opportunity to bring attention to activities that are connected with the dairy sector.
Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) had organised the “ World Milk Day” on 01.06.2018, Friday at Women and Child Development Centre, where awareness was provided to the children regarding milk and its nutritional value and all children were provided with goodies containing Nandini products. Directors of all divisions and other officers in KMF were part of the occasion. Later on the same day, Nandini Flavoured Milk and other sweet products were distributed to Anantha Shishu Sevashrama, Wilson Garden, SOS sevashrama, Bannerghatta and Little Sister of the Poor Home for the Aged, Hosur Road.
